Garmin recently announced the Forerunner 110 watch sports, marketed as a lower cost, fully functional watch for runners and endurance athletes.
Unlike the Forerunner 305 and 405 models from Garmin, the company tried to keep the watch as simple as possible. It provides the distance and time, and also shows the current human resources of the wearer and calories burned based on heart rate during exercise.
The 110 is capable of operating up to three weeks in power save mode, or up to eight hours when it is used in GPS mode and training.Garmin makes it easy to transfer training information to a PC using Garmin Connect, the 110 supports up to 200 hours of recorded data.
"In a few seconds, leaving you just press Start and instantly know your distance, pace and time - all without complicated installation or accessories too," said Dan Bartel, vice president of sales Garmin.
